About

Pollock Law, LLC

Trial & Appellate Practice

We team with our clients to represent them in trials and appeals. Our core talent is in mastering the facts and honing a persuasive honest legal argument. We work ardously to find the theme that will convince the trier of fact (Judge, Jury, or Arbitrator) of the merit of our client's claim or defense.

All clients deserve excellent representation—but we cannot take on all matters. Given our size and intense focus, we are selective in the matters we undertake.   If you focus on everything, you focus on nothing.  Some lawyers believe you must be either pro-defense or pro-plaintiff. We disagree. What matters is honing the argument,  whether it is the plaintiff or defendant. The cold hard fact is that if your team truly believes in the cause, they will work twice as hard and be twice as committed.

Our preference is to engage in mixed contingencies and contingencies wherever possible. Because we believe in what we do, we will wherever possible take the risk with our clients. In return, we expect reasonable compensation for the risk we have taken and the effort we have made. For our clients, a mixed contingency offers predictable rates and not the peaks and valleys of the billable hour. Under our model, if you win, we win.   Our experience in mixed contingencies supports our vision. We have succeeded. Trust & Estates, Unfair trade practices, Class actions, environmental law, insurance claims.

Traditional billing practice large firms is time and expense—the billable hour. For the law firm, it is predictable and lucrative. From the clients perspective, the dogged reliance upon the billable hour reflects a lack of commitment and focus. If a law really believe their strategy is sound, they should stand behind it financially.

In the 1950s and 1960s, the concept was to become a lawyer and have broad competence, as time proceeded, the prevalent theme  amongst law firm gurus became that a lawyer must practice narrowly in one area. With regard to trial and appellate practice, we disagree. Trial is a skill and what matters is understanding legal analysis, the theory of the case, honest and accurate graphics that persuade.   Intelligence, integrity, and intensity—that is what we offer you on the right case.

Our credentials today establish what we have accomplished to date. Let us help you because you will find no stronger advocate, no better partner, and no better partner.
